FileMv has two kinds of limits: a per-file size cap that depends on whether you are signed in, and a total storage quota for registered accounts.
Per-file size caps

The check happens the moment you pick or drop a file — an oversized file is rejected immediately, before any of it is uploaded, so you never wait through an upload only to see it fail at the end.
Total storage
Registered accounts also have an overall storage quota. Your current usage is always visible on the storage meter at the top of your Drive — it shows how much you have used of your total and warns as you approach the limit. Files you upload through your account, and files visitors send you through a collect link, all count against it.
When the quota is full, new uploads are rejected until you free up space — deleting files (and emptying them from the Trash) reclaims it.
Anonymous uploads are one file at a time
Without an account you can upload one file per go — multi-file selection is a registered-account feature. There is also an hourly per-network limit on anonymous uploads to keep abuse down; if you hit it, wait a bit and try again, or register for free.
What about file types?
There is no file-type restriction — any format can be uploaded. What the recipient can preview in the browser depends on the type; see What recipients see.
