You do not need an account to send a file with FileMv. The home page has an upload zone that works for anyone — here is how it goes, and what the limits are.
Step by step
- Open the FileMv home page.
- Drop a file into the upload zone, or click it and pick a file. Anonymous uploads accept one file of up to 100 MB.
- Wait for the upload to finish — a progress bar shows where it stands.
- Copy the share link that appears. That single link is all your recipient needs.
- Paste the link into chat, e-mail, a forum post — anywhere. Whoever opens it can download the file in any browser, without an account.

Anonymous uploads are deliberately kept small and simple — they are meant for the "just send it over" moment. If you regularly send bigger files or want to manage what you have shared, registering is free.
Keeping an anonymous upload
An anonymous upload is not tied to any account, so you cannot manage it later — you cannot rename it, delete it, or see how many times it was downloaded. There is a way to keep it, with three conditions: register and then sign in, in the same browser tab you uploaded from, within 24 hours of the upload. On that sign-in the upload attaches to your new account automatically and appears in your Drive like any other file.
