Explore (filemv.com/explore) is where FileMv content gets discovered without a direct link. It has two halves — Portals and Collections — and each offers two views:
- Browse — everything eligible, newest first, with search;
- Popular — a ranking by views over the last 24 hours.
What appears there
| Content | Appears in Explore when… |
|---|---|
| Portal | it is published |
| Collection | its visibility is Public |
Nothing else ever shows up: private and unlisted collections, unpublished portals, plain share links and individual files are all absent by design. Getting into Explore is always an explicit act — publishing a portal or making a collection public.
How the search works
Browse search matches your titles and descriptions — for portals also the tagline, welcome text, address and section names. Descriptive, specific titles are what make you findable.
How Popular is ranked
Popular is a simple, honest ranking: views in the trailing 24 hours. Every visit to your portal or public collection page counts toward it, wherever the visitor came from. There is no editorial curation and no way to buy placement — a link that circulates well today is on the list today.
Profile pages complete the picture
Your public profile at filemv.com/u/your-handle lists your public collections in one place, with your bio and social links — the stable address worth putting in other bios. Followers additionally get your newly published public content in their feed.
