When do you need to merge PDFs?
Almost always because the other side wants a single file. The application portal allows one attachment, the bank expects one document, the accountant does not want twelve separate pictures of invoices. Meanwhile the scanner saves a sheet at a time, the phone a photo at a time, and the contract arrived by email in three parts.
Merging copies the original pages across rather than redrawing them: the text stays searchable, the signature stays sharp, and the file size is roughly the sum of the parts. If the result is too big, run it through the image compressor or split it.
How it works: in your browser, not on a server
Most online PDF tools upload your documents, merge them there and send the result back. This one does not: your browser reads the files and builds the output on the spot. You do not have to trust an unknown service to really delete your contract — it never receives it.
When you are done there are two things you can do: download the file, or use the “Share a link” button to get a link to it. The second is the only step in which anything leaves your machine — and you start it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the order I set preserved?
Yes — the output file follows exactly the order shown on the sheets. Move them with the arrows, or drag them with a mouse; the number in the top-left corner always shows the final position.
How many files can I add?
Twenty at a time. Not because of a server — there is no server in this step — but because the browser holds every document in memory while it works.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
PDF to images does: it asks for the password and uses it only in memory — we never store it. Merge and split cannot modify an encrypted document, so take the password off it first with the password remover.
What happens to bookmarks and form fields?
The content of the pages — text, images, vectors, fonts — comes across intact. Document-level extras such as the bookmark tree or fillable form fields do not survive a merge; if those matter, merge in a desktop PDF editor.
